EID SNOWDONIA TRIP...2009 (males only)

5TH and 6TH December (weekend after Eid)
MOUNTAIN CLIMBING - BARBEQUE - CAMPING
THE TRIP
Saturday 5th December 2009
6.30am - Meet-up at Markaz Tawheed for Salaat-ul-Fajr
7.00am - Leave Masjid
9.00am - Arrive at Campsite Wales, pitch the tents and have a quick power snack
10.00am - Head for the Mountain, Climb to the top & have lunch at the summit.
5.00pm - Return to campsite and have Tea
8.00pm - Barbeque Time!
11.00pm - Go to sleep
Sunday 6th December 2009
10.00am - Breakfast
12.00pm - Leave Wales
3.00pm - Arrive back at Masjid
THE MOUNTAIN CLIMB
We will be climbing the Watkins Route (LL5 4NG, Beddgelert)
This is a good route to walk up and may take around 3 to 4 hours to climb.

THE CAMPING
We will be camping at Swallow Falls (LL24 0DW, Betws-y-Coed)
It is near a stream for wudu etc and surrounded by mountains.
REQUIREMENTS
- Spare set of clothes
- Night wear
- Spare underwear/socks
- Comfortable footwear with a good grip
- Coat/ Gloves/ Jumpers etc
- Torch
- Towel
- Sleeping bag/blanket (it will be cold)
- Toothbrush/ toiletries
- Rucksack
- If possible bring your own flask for hot drinks
COST
- £10 contribution towards food
- £10 contribution towards petrol
